It is now week 2 of training with iConquer, and last week there was only one day I feel like I didn't accomplish. I blew all the other days out of the water, so I feel like that light day was well deserved.
Week 2 suggests to Use Gym/Yoga/Weights to Add Strength. I don't have a gym membership and not too keen on yoga, so I will focus on including more core muscle/full body exercises this week.
Monday, September 10th - Rest/Casual Walk - 30+ mins: I took it somewhat easy today. It was a gloomy rainy day and I guess I was still in shopping mode from the weekend with mom and I was determined to buy new boots! So I went back to Bayshore Shopping mall at lunch, did my walking around there.... and found my boots :) I also walked around work some for my breaks, and took a tiny walk after work to calm down. I worked on my last week's blog tonight and posted it later on in the evening.
Thursday, September 13th - Run/Fitness Walk or Gym - 60+ mins: I did nothing today. I was a little stressed out from work, and ate a little horribly, but I still tracked it. I was about 400 calories over my daily budget. Oops. Oh well. Not everyday is successful. When I got home, I binged out on Youtube and played around on Photoshop. I will re-coop yesterdays hour walk tomorrow at some point.
Friday, September 14th - Run/Fitness Walk or Gym - 45+ mins: I got my 45+ minutes from walking at lunch today with a few co-workers. Phew. Let me tell you, summer is trying to hang on and succeeding. It was humid and hot! We did the trail around work and ended up at Starbucks to get a cool beverage for the walk back.
Saturday, September 15th - Run/Fitness Walk or Gym - 60+ mins: Busy day, and I didn't do any walking! In the morning I spent it in the company of an 11 day old baby and a good friend! I got to take some cute pictures of baby along with visit with her momma, who I last saw when taking maternity photo's of her only a few weeks ago!
Once done here, I headed over to a friend's to help her set up for her daughter's tenth birthday party. It was an incredibly fun day with a Paris theme, complete with bouncy castle, sno cone machine, a photo booth area, games, food and cake. It was a humid and hot day. I started feeling extremely tired and woozie, but decided to play on the bouncy castle with the big kids anyways. When I got home, I edited the baby photo's and went to bed late.
Sunday, September 16th - Hike (2 hours): Nope. No hiking today. I was drained and felt like my body had come down with the flu. I had a sore throat, head ache and my lower back was sore… probably from being a little over enthusiastic in that fun bouncy castle. I was just exhausted. When I'm ill, my blood sugar just naturally rises, and what with being tired and hungry, I ate a lot and a lot of bad food. It wasn't the greatest way to end the week, or start into the new week. In all honesty, some depression is working it's way in. At the end of this week, I was feeling very meh, and discouraged. That lack of self-esteem started to settle in. Hopefully I can kick this feeling to the curb early on this week and start to get productive again... Feeling a big change in my life is necessary, and I'm looking forward to the weeks away in October to do some soul searching.
