Let's Focus this week on hitting that Fundraising Goal!
This week's goal was undetermined as I knew I'd be focusing on Photo Contracts.

Sunday, August 5th. Matthew and I travelled today to see his parents. We browsed around at McHaffies Flea Market. It was so humid and hot today! Thank goodness the car has working AC! Lot's of vendors this weekend but it was so hot, I primarily stayed inside.
Monday, August 6th. On what had to be one of the most hot and humid mornings, these ladies both rocked it! Honestly... they were moving faster than me! (Must step up the training) I know these ladies from years back and it's felt like a lifetime. It was nice to catch up and see them. I also got to hang out with little Ian and meet the father-to-be of Roxanne's baby, and of course their fur baby Clyde. Thank you both for hiring me to capture such an important moment in your lives. I feel blessed. These contracts/donations have helped me reach my fundraising goal - and will now be surpassing it. You ladies are amazing. I wish you nothing but happiness and smiles for your growing families!
Tuesday, August 7th. The day following the duo photo session in Andrew Hayden Park, I was invited up to Jen and Terry's. They are expecting their little one in September. I always love going to Jen's! They have such a beautiful property, and I love all their animals! It was another humid and hot day with thunderstorms in the morning but it cleared up for our evening photo session. I laughed a lot! These two are hilarious, and going to be such cool parents! These are a few of my favorites. As we were walking all the dogs were following along, & the horses came down to investigate at the end of the session - these were some of my favorite images.
Wednesday, August 8th. I went for a walk at lunch and saw some more mushrooms along the bike path in the forest. In the evening after work I was editing photo's galore. Managed to get Roxanne and Amy's galleries uploaded and out, and officially hit my fundraising goal!
$7,615 raised for Diabetes Canada. Goal Reached and surpassed!
to all who's donated and shown me support over the past year.
You are all just..simply...GOOD people. GENEROUS people. Love you all! #TeamDiabetes
I have such lack of self discpipline and am really struggling right now. I've decided to take this weekend to just stop. I need rest and sleep. I need to mentally come to terms with this next chapter and move past my emotional eating. I'm treating myself to a spa day on Monday to celebrate the end of Fundraising and to being over 4 months smoke-free.
Thursday, August 9th. Work. Work. Work.... But finished editing Jen's photo's too! Now all contracts are out to the clients and I'm taking the rest of the week to celebrate and relax. We were given our training schedule and LOTS of reading material. I'm planning on reviewing all of this information this weekend.
Friday, August 10th. Tonight I attended a fundraising event for fellow Team Diabetes members Erin & Warren tonight! It was fun! I painted with the thought of giving this guy to my Niece. Congratulations to such a successful event night you two!
Saturday, August 11th. Lazy day, just Grocery shopped in Renfrew, and enjoyed watching movies with Matthew in the afternoon/evening. I quite like 'Ready Player One' - even though it wasn't exactly like the book... but what movie adaptation truly is?
- 18th week of no smoking!
- I'M DONE FUNDRAISING!
Just 'cuz I've hit my goal, doesn't mean you still can't donate :)
You can still donate on my Participant's Pledge Page;
Support another one of my fellow Team Diabetes Members!
Erin & Warren's Participant's Pledge Page (Anchorage Run Fest - August 2019)
