After the Zombie Make-Up Event, I decided to take some time off of Fundraising. My anxiety had reached a peak and I had gotten sick with a cold. I decided to pick up my journal sketchbook to do a new entry. Since I was in grade school I had always loved to sketch. I would keep sketch-books, but get discouraged and then stop, or want to start a new book. I've never filled a sketchbook yet, but intend to with this one. I am only 10 pages away from completion. But, old habits die hard and a thought came to me... maybe I can do something like this to sell for Fundraising? So I am currently entrenched in yet another sketchbook, but this one I have to finish. I have a deadline and now that the Photography season seems to have slowed down a bit, and the rain just won't stop on the weekends, it seems I would have time. I plan to have this 'book' be 48 pages long... maybe round up to 50. I also am planning on sticking to line drawings with simple shading so it can be a colour book as well. In the meantime, I'd like to share some of the pages of my own personal sketch-book. (Please note, that I have blurred out any text that I would like to keep personal, as this is my diary as well.)
(I've been mulling over the idea of a Paint Night too - but it requires a minimum amount of ticket sales - so I would have to insure that I would have enough ticket purchasers before I commit - I'd also only have 2 weeks to sell the tickets.... we shall see)
Do you keep a journal? Or a sketchbook? Do you follow any artists on YouTube? I've been following an amazing artist named Minnie Small for the last couple weeks. Tell me what you like to write about or sketch in your journals.
Thanks for checking in!
